Our Process

1. Get in Touch

Our team is here to assist you throughout the application process. Whether you need more information or have questions, we’re ready to guide you every step of the way.

2. Document Collection

During this stage, we gather all necessary details about your placement and training plan. This helps us ensure that the placement complies with Department of State regulations and fits within GeoVisions’ approved sponsorship categories.

3. Document Review

The submitted documents are reviewed in this stage to ensure compliance with the program regulations. We provide feedback and tailored advice, collaborating with our partners to address any issues and outline the next steps.

4. DS form Issuance

We work closely with all parties to complete any required signatures and issue the DS-2019 form. This document is crucial for scheduling your embassy appointment. 

5. Arrival Process

With your visa approved, it’s time to prepare for your arrival in the U.S. We provide detailed instructions and orientations to help you get ready. GeoVisions is here to offer support and answer any questions you may have throughout your journey.

FAQ's

  1. For Intern participants, the maximum program duration is 12 months, while Trainee candidates have a maximum duration of 18 months.
  2. Host organizations must provide a minimum (not an average) of 32 hours per week. If 32 hours per week cannot be provided for a full 12 or 18 months, your program can be shorter in duration
  3. The minimum duration of any GeoVisions internship or Trainee program is 3-4 months
  1. From your initial contact with us to the participant’s arrival in the U.S., the process typically takes 2-4 months. Timely submission of all required documents can help expedite this timeline. GeoVisions is committed to processing your application as quickly as possible, ensuring that we move through each step efficiently.
  2. Reasons for delays can include:
    • Delay in Host Organization document collection/editing & Confirmation
    • Delay in exchange visitor doc collection
    • Delay in signatures on the training plan
    • Delay on embassy dates – varies by country
    • We suggest being flexible on program participation dates as much as possible 
  1. These must be in-person internships/training programs. 
  1. GeoVisions requires that all programs be paid internships or training programs and that participants be paid the equivalent of what the business would pay a domestic intern.
Once your documents are approved, you’ll receive a link to pay the $50 application fee by credit card.
After the fee is paid, and your Hanover portal is complete, we will forward your information to the Remote Teach employers. They will review your resume and set up an interview with you.
