RETRIEVING YOUR I-94

While you’re in the United States, it’s important to print out a copy of your I-94 (Admissions Record) for your employer and for Social Security. An I-94 is an arrival/departure card. It is a record of when you entered the U.S., and when you are expected to depart.
To print your automated I-94 visit www.CBP.gov/I94 and enter the following information in the appropriate fields:

– Passport number
– Date of birth
– Name as it appears on your J-1 Visa
– Country of citizenship (written as “Country of Issuance”)

Please be sure you enter all dates in the proper format and ensure that your spelling matches the information as it appears on your J-1 Visa. When you view your electronic I-94, you should verify that all of the information listed on there is correct. Please note that your name will appear as it appears on your J-1 Visa. If there are any discrepancies or issues viewing your I-94 information, please contact GeoVisions.

If you continue to have issues, you’ll need to contact a Deferred Inspection Site. The website for more information is here.
